Background Story
Kehya was born in the forest just below the snow-capped mountains of the Skatay Range of north Othard under the birth name of Jovi Kisnewesfv. Orphaned as an infant, he learned how to take care of himself at a very young age, as he did not have any siblings to learn with. He mostly kept to himself and tinkered with items he found while wandering around his village, creating make-shift swords that he would practice with until they broke. At the age of 13, he was kicked out of his village due to viera cultural norms, where he would join the other males out in the surrounding forest. It wasn't long before he began training to become a wood-warder, a protector of the woods. With his early practice of swordsmanship, he was able to complete trials faster than others his age. However, despite his performance, he wasn't content with the life he was training for. Without many friends or family, he didn't have much keeping him bound to the woods, so just before he turned 15, he left the woods behind and set out on an adventure west to Dalmasca.
Jovi was amazed by the bustling city, though overwhelmed due to him being accustomed to his small village. During his time there, he lived off the streets selling crafts he made with a miqo'te he met named Nhev Kimasnahaya who was the same age as him. They became quick friends and never left each other's side. Wanting to leave his old life completely behind in favor for his new adventurous one, Jovi renamed himself Kehya Kimasnahya, adopting his best friend's last name.
At age 18, Kehya wanted to travel further west to Eorzea for more opportunities. He bid farewell to Nhev, who wanted to stay behind to take care of the other street kids, and promised he would visit again. Unable to afford a boat ride to Eorzea, Kehya sneaked into a create aboard a boat set for Eorzea, but unsure exactly where it was headed. It would turn out that it embarked for the Diamond in the desert, Ul'dah. Once there, he joined the Pugilist's Guild to learn unarmed combat, and the Gladiator's Guild to hone in on his swordplay. Just as he did back at the Skatay Range, Kehya trained tirelessly and excelled at the Gladiator's Guild. With hundreds of jobs done by the age of 21, he sworn an oath to become a paladin with the Immortal Flames to protect the people of Ul'dah and her allies. He served under the Immortal Flames until he was 28, where he suffered a severe wound from an explosion during a skirmish between the Flames and Garlean Empire. The injury left him with restricted movement from his hip, which he is still recovering from.
Nowadays he has been spending a lot of his time at bars and clubs, meeting new people and tapping into the gil he made over the past decade. One bar in particular you can count on seeing him in with his girlfriend in tow is McTaru's, chit-chatting with his friends and drinking more than he should ever drink. Additionally, Kehya has returned to crafting. If he isn't out having fun he is usually behind a crafting table preparing something to sell in the Ul'dah markets, and assisting in the flow of trade across the city and surrounding areas. He jests that he is a jack of all trades, but a master of none.

Appearance
Notable bits about Kehya's appearance is the scar on the left side of his lower back from the blast he was in. He looks like he's about in his early to mid twenties with little signs of aging as Viera can live upwards of 400 years. Other than that Kehya is meticulous about keeping himself clean and presentable.

OOC
Hullo! I'm Beagle Bagels. The man behind the character. I'm a 25 year old college student. I've switched my major more times than I can count (I suck at math) that I forgot what I'm majoring in now. I'm heavily into the car scene and have a modded 2018 Ford Focus ST. I could talk to you about cars for hours so if you're into that don't be shy to bring it up!
